Technically, this bus largely corresponds to the 2H except for the reinforced and extended chassis. In addition, the wheelbase was increased by 70cm to 4.80. From 1958, around 65 of these chassis were delivered and customised by various bodybuilders.
The bodywork was customised by 'Frech-Hoch' from Sissach (BL) for the first owner, the Zurich travel company 'Winterhalder'. The original large chrome ‘W’ that adorned the front has been lost over the decades.
The car then belonged to Kandersteg tourism pioneer Philipp Schwitter and the Fribourg transport company 'Zumwald', where it was given its current colour scheme. The next owner, the logistics company 'Hans Fischer' (Chur), sold the V2H to caralpin in 2017.
Since 1958, the bus has only covered around 400,000 kilometres, which is why the interior has been preserved in a rarely good original condition.
